SUSTAINABILITY
In recent years it has become very difficult to ignore the environmental and social impact of fast fashion. We are starting to realise that buying second-hand and vintage is one of the most sustainable and socially responsible ways to shop.
Vintage and second-hand clothes have always made up the majority of my wardrobe but in January 2019 I made a commitment to buy #nothingnew
With the exception of underwear (because who wants to buy their undies second hand?!) and footwear (for some reason second hand shoes are very hard to find), I have managed to honour that commitment. I find all my clothes in charity shops, vintage stores and online via eBay, Etsy and Depop.
I am passionate about sustainability and am constantly striving to live in a more sustainable way. This extends to Strawberry Fields Vintage. I assess the quality and condition of every piece. Lightly soiled garments are laundered on a cool wash using ecologically sound cleaning products and heavier soiled & delicate garments are hand washed.
Every order is shipped in 100% recycled and biodegradable packaging.
I am constantly looking for ways to reduce the carbon footprint of Strawberry Fields Vintage and make every aspect of the business as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible.
